So, Rock Band was released just before Thanksgiving and has been a huge hit so far. This means I still get to test video games at work everyday. As a matter of fact, I work on the downloadable content for Rock Band on PS3 and XBox 360. I believe the latest 3-song pack we've released are David Bowie songs. There are more to come...

The corporate culture is such that there's a large room for anyone to play Rock Band. There's also a fridge full of drinks for employees to stay caffeinated or hydrated and razor scooters to get around the office. I'll take one for a spin and visit the audio department when my eyes need a rest. The people at Harmonix are all passionate to some degree or another about video games/music/movies/comic books. I stopped collecting comics and playing video games a while back but I'm welcoming them both back as a PART of my life. It's great fun to work among people with similar interests.

The job is good, my co-workers are cool and it pays enough that I've jettisoned most of my other gigs (except for the occasional FNX street team show). Oh, and if anyone has an XBox 360, let me know and I can bring over my copy of Rock Band for a game or two.
