10 Years

Happy Turkey leftover weekend to everyone out there. Jess and I headed back (to my) home in Albany for Thanksgiving and hung out with my parents and sisters for a few days. I also got to see my nephew, Rex. He's a 5 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback and has more energy than a teenager tweaked on a case of Red Bull. Apparently they're a breed of hound meant to track lions for big game hunters. This weekend, Rex managed to get his paw caught under a rocking chair twice. Perhaps they get smarter with age.

The other notable event was the 10 year reunion of the Bethlehem Central HS class of '97. It was a weird, nervous experience for the first drink or two. The venue was the 3rd floor club of a local Jillian's and the DJ was spinning hip-hop from the start. The lights were on for a few hours but around 10, the place became a dance club. To say the least, conversation was difficult. There were plenty of people I was glad to see (found out 1/3 of my class seems to live in Boston) and some I was all right not having a conversation with. Still, the people I really want to see are the ones I still speak with.

Still, my girlfriend was one of the first on the dancefloor and I was pulled out there to Billie Jean. Nice.
