Yes, I know, this blog has remained sparsely updated for several weeks now. Lately I've been slammed with various tasks (both job and party related) that have made it difficult to find time to update. Thanks for bearing with me, I promise more consistent posts from here on out.
The Wednesday Music posts have been going up and I'm quite proud of those. The only comment I've received about the format is positive, so keep coming back for the info and videos (ironically, posting audio alone is much more difficult).
The latest news has to do with my job(s). This morning, I had a good interview at GE Aircraft Engines for a Product Service Engineer position. It's a dive right back in to the technical/engineering field that I left behind in order to chase a dream. Still, although engineering won't necessarily make me happy, it will pay the bills. But I can't get over the feeling that it's a step back for me.
As for working in radio/music here in Boston, I feel that I'm still only indulging my personal musical interests on my own time. Also, working menial part time jobs isn't satisfying, it's not the best use of my education or brain power. It's not very satisfying.
And that's the key. My journey to Boston began because I wanted a new city and a SATISFYING job. There are people excited to go to work every day. I want to be one of them. Ultimately, I'm asking the question, "What should I do with my life?" and that answer will be hard earned.
On a final note, I also have an interview for a position at Harmonix Music (the developer of the Guitar Hero video games). This could bring interesting things.
