While other people may have been enjoying trips to the lake/ocean or perhaps a BBQ, Jess and I were attending the wedding of my good friend Joe. He and Julie tied the knot this past Sunday in Herkimer, NY and tore it up at the after party in Rome, NY.
The wedding was held in a small church with some gorgeous woodwork. After the ceremony, we headed back to the Beeches, an Inn/Reception Hall where the entire wedding was spending the night. This meant it was a short trip from the Reception to the continuing after-party. Anyway, Joe and I went to high school together. He went to college at Geneseo along with Dave, another good friend of mine. Through them, and an ex-girlfriend, I got to know many Geneseo alumni over many beers. So, I was acquainted with most of the social groups at the wedding, making it kind of a perfect storm of a party.
There's nothing like the company of good friends, good food and drink and a reason to celebrate. It was a great wedding, congrats Joe and Julie, enjoy your honeymoon.

Matt, glad you enjoyed the wedding as much as we did. Just got back from Aruba, where even Julie was able to get a tan. You need to tell your dad that HOTD played a live version of Shout and tore the place down to it's foundation, he'll definitely be jealous.
We're coming out to Boston for Lisa's wedding, if you want to hang out Friday night.
